TGRJC CET 2026 COUNSELLING

TGRJC CET 2026 COUNSELLING

The TGRJC CET 2026 counselling process is a structured, multi-phase procedure for allocating seats in TGRJC based on merit, reservation, and candidate preferences. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the process:

Counselling Phases

  • Phase 1:
    • Priority is given to high-merit candidates.
    • Candidates are called in order of rank for their respective groups (MPC, BPC, MEC, CEC).
    • More choices are available for top scorers.
  • Phase 2:
    • Conducted for unfilled or vacated seats after Phase 1.
    • Remaining eligible candidates get another chance to secure admission.
  • Further Phases:
    • If seats remain, additional rounds (Phase 3/Final) may be conducted.

Notification and Call Letters

  • After results are declared, a list of shortlisted candidates is published on the official website (tgrjc.cgg.gov.in).
  • Counselling call letters can be downloaded using the candidate’s hall ticket number.
  • The call letter will specify the date, time, and venue for counselling.

 Reporting and Document Verification

  • Candidates must attend in person at the specified venue and time.
  • Reporting time: Usually by 9:30 AM; counselling starts at 10:00 AM.
  • Mandatory documents for verification:
    • SSC (Class 10) Marks Memo
    • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
    • Income Certificate
    • Study Certificates
    • Special Category Certificates (CAP, PHC, Sports, Orphan, if applicable)
    • Counselling Call Letter/Result Sheet
  • Originals and photocopies are required for verification.

 Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

  • After document verification, candidates fill in their preferred college and course options.
  • Candidates can list multiple preferences to improve their chances.
  • Once choices are finalized, they are locked and cannot be changed.
  • Seat allotment is based on:
    • Merit in TGRJC CET
    • Reservation rules (SC, ST, BC, PHC, Sports, CAP, Orphan, etc.)
    • Special category considerations
    • Order of preferences filled by the candidate.

 Special Category Reservation Process

  • PHC (Physically Handicapped): Minimum 40% disability, seats allotted based on merit among PHC candidates.
  • Sports: Merit among candidates with valid sports certificates (International, National, State, SGF).
  • CAP (Children of Armed Personnel): Seats allotted based on merit among CAP candidates.
  • Orphan: Seats allotted based on merit among orphan candidates.

 Seat Confirmation and Admission

  • Candidates allotted a seat receive an allotment letter.
  • They must confirm admission by paying the required fees and completing admission formalities at the allotted college.
  • If a candidate fails to report or complete admission, the seat is offered in subsequent counselling rounds.

 Important Points

  • Physical presence is mandatory for counselling and document verification.
  • If a candidate cannot attend, an authorized representative with proper documentation may be allowed (check official notification).
  • All reservations and special category seats are filled as per government rules; open category seats are filled first, followed by reserved categories.
  • The entire process, including dates and lists, is updated on the official website.
