The All-India Law Entrance Test (AILET), is conducted by National Law University, Delhi, annually for admission into Five-Year Integrated BA LLB (Hons) programs, LLM, and Ph.D. programs, offered by National Law Universities across India. The admission notice and application forms will be made available on the university website in the month of 1-Aug-2024. AILET 2025 exam is scheduled to be on 8h December 2024.

AILET 2025 Application Form
- The application forms for AILET 2025 will be available on the website from the first week of August 2024.
- Aspiring candidates will be required to first register themselves on the official website of NLU, Delhi by entering the desired information including their email id and their scanned photograph.
- Post-registration, candidates will be required to go to the ‘Application Locker’ and select the application form they would like to fill in.
- This procedure will be followed by payment of the application fee which confirms the application.
- AILET 2025 examination form will be available only in online mode and candidates need to submit them there.
Application Fee
- For GEN/OBC category candidates: INR 3050
- For SC/ST/PwD category candidates: INR 1050
- The application form for AILET 2025 is free of cost for candidates belonging to SC/ST category below the poverty line.
AILET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The examination authority, NLU has defined separate eligibility criteria for all the programs. Candidates can check AILET Eligibility Criteria for different programs below:
AILET Eligibility Criteria for LLM Course:
- Candidates with LLB degree or any other equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks can apply (In case of SC/ST/PwD it is 50% marks)
- Candidate appearing in their last year of LLB can also apply
AILET Eligibility Criteria for LLB Program:
- Candidate must have passed Class 12 with the minimum aggregate marks of 50%.
- According to the official notification released by NLU, Delhi the eligibility criteria of age for admission is withdrawn.
- Candidates appearing in the 12th class examination in March/April are also eligible for applying.
AILET Eligibility Criteria for the Ph.D. course:
- M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability)
AILET 2025 Exam Pattern
Candidates who fill out the AILET 2025 application form must check the exam pattern before making any exam preparation plan.
- The AILET 2025 exam will be 90 minutes
- The exam will be for 150 marks
- Duration of exam 90 minutes
- The number of questions:
- A.LL.B (Hons) – it will have 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- LLM. – It will have 100 multiple-choice questions and one essay-type question on law

AILET 2025 Syllabus
English: Comprehension passages, Synonyms, Antonyms, Choosing correct words, Idioms, and phrases, Jumble words and sentences, Fill-in the blanks
General Knowledge: History, Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics, and Current Affairs
Mathematics: Profit and Loss, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Algebra, Average, Permutation and Combination, and Venn Diagrams
Legal Aptitude: Study of law, Research aptitude, and Problem-solving ability
Reasoning: Logical and Analytical reasoning skills
AILET 2025 Admit Card
The AILET 2025 Admit Card will be published by the examining authority before the exam on the official website. The candidates who have registered themselves for the upcoming entrance test can check the availability of admit cards from 20 November 2023.
The steps to download the AILET 2025 Admit Card
- Go to the official AILET website to get the AILET 2025, Admit Card.
- Click on the “Existing User” tab.
- Enter the candidate's AILET 2025 login ID and password.
- Click on Login.
- The candidate will be redirected to your AILET 2025 candidate profile.
- Click on the “Download AILET 2025 Admit Card” button.
- Save the AILET 2025 admit card on the system and take a printout.
AILET 2025 Result
The AILET 2025 result will be announced in 2025 on the official AILET 2025 website. On the basis of the marks secured in the AILET 2025 results online, a result merit list will be prepared for candidates. AILET result merit list will be prepared separately according to all the categories.
How to view the AILET 2025 Results:
- Go to the official AILET 2024 website.
- Candidates need to fill up all the information like AILET 2025 roll number, and name.
- Click on the “Submit” button to view the AILET 2025 result
AILET 2025 Counselling
- AILET 2025 counselling procedure will be conducted in offline mode by National Law University, Delhi.
- The examination authority will issue admission letters to the qualified candidates. Such candidates should remit the admission-cum-counselling fee for AILET 2025.
- The seats will be allotted to the qualified candidates in more than one round, the first round of seat allotment and the AILET 2025 Spot Counselling round which will be organized in December 2024
- Once the admissions are made in the first slot, a list of shortlisted candidates is issued by NLU Delhi for the AILET 2025 Spot Counselling Round.
AILET 2025 Preparation
Candidates appearing for AILET 2025 have to be aware of the complete AILET syllabus that will be included in the AILET exam so as to prepare well and score better. AILET covers the questions from five major areas: English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Elementary Mathematics.
One of the important steps toward preparation is to identify the subjects of your interests and weaknesses and make an individual strategy for them.
Time Management and Practice for Offline Exam
Do not waste time on questions you don't understand, move on to the next question. Practicing as much the candidate can from the past year's question booklets and sample papers available on the internet and bookstores can help a lot in understanding the format and getting along with the questions of the AILET entrance test.
