Recommends this college
My experience as a Mechanical Engineering student has been a mixed but mostly positive one. The college provides decent infrastructure including well-equipped labs. The faculty are qualified, helpful, and most subjects are taught with real-life examples, though some teachers follow a very theoretical approach. The syllabus covers a wide range of core and elective subjects, and includes internships and projects in the final year, which are useful for industry exposure. Semester exams can be tough if you don’t study consistently, but with regular attendance and internal marks, it’s manageable. Hostel life is okay — rooms are basic but clean, Wi-Fi is decent, and the food is average. Sports and extracurriculars are encouraged, with good facilities for football, cricket, and indoor games. Medical help is available on campus in case of emergencies. Pros: Good labs, helpful teachers, decent placement, and a supportive environment for learning. Cons: More industry interaction and practical workshops would improve the course. Mess food can be repetitive.

Campus Facilities: The college campus is well-maintained and moderately spread out, offering a clean and green environment that’s ideal for studying. The infrastructure is good for an engineering college not ultra-modern, but student-friendly. Classrooms are spacious, equipped with blackboards and projectors, and most of them have proper ventilation and seating.
Campus Life: Life on campus is a mix of learning, friendship, and fun. While academics take up a big part of the schedule, there’s always something happening — from workshops and seminars to cultural events, fests, and sports days. The atmosphere is friendly and interactive, and most students find a balance between studies and enjoyment. Students spend their free time hanging out in the canteen, common areas, library, or sports ground. Clubs like technical forums, arts clubs, NSS etc are active and give students a platform to express themselves beyond the classroom.
Faculty: The faculty in our department are well-qualified and experienced. Most of them hold M.Tech degrees. They have a deep understanding of the subjects and many of them have industry or research experience, which adds real-world perspective to classroom teaching. They are generally approachable, helpful during lab sessions, and supportive when it comes to project guidance or doubt clearing. Some teachers go the extra mile to share additional materials or take extra classes before exams.
Placements: Placement Percentage for mechanical is around 60–70%, if you include off-campus and pooled drives. Average package offered: ?2.5 to 3LPA Some students go for GATE, higher studies, or government exams like ISRO, DRDO, SSC JE, etc. Placement training, aptitude sessions, and mock interviews are provided by the Training and Placement Cell.
Salary Package: 2.5 - 4 Lakhs
Safety Measures: Anti-Ragging Cell, Anti-Drugs Cell, Women Safety Cell
