NEET PG 2026 (EXAM PATTERN)

The NEET PG 2026 exam pattern and announcement have been made public by the National Board of Examination (NBE). The NEET PG 2026 exam pattern is an online computer-based test (CBT) designed to assess the theoretical and clinical knowledge of MBBS graduates. The exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 3 hours and 30 minutes (210 minutes). It is conducted exclusively in English, and each question carries +4 marks for a correct answer and -1 mark for an incorrect one, with no negative marking for unattempted questions.

  • Sections: The exam is divided into five sections with 40 questions each, and candidates get 42 minutes per section. You must complete one section before moving to the next; you cannot return to a previous section once its time has elapsed.
  • Subject Coverage: All 19 subjects from the MBBS curriculum, grouped as Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and Clinical sciences.
  • Marking Scheme:
    • Correct Answer: +4 marks.
    • Incorrect Answer: -1 mark.
    • Unanswered: 0 marks.

Review Option: You can mark questions for review within a section, but once the section time is over, you cannot return to it.
