BITSAT 2025 Pattern of Examination
Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), a prestigious and popular all-India Institute for Higher Education is the deemed University and most sought-after institute for prospective meritorious students seeking admission into undergraduate Engineering Courses in India. The BITSAT 2025 exam is scheduled for June 2025 and its applications are available from March 2025.
BITSAT 2025 Exam Pattern
- BITSAT 2025 examination is CBT (Computer Test).
- There will be 2 sets of dates, viz., Session 1 and Session 2 with a gap of a few weeks.
- Candidates can choose the Centre, Date, and Slot in accordance with their convenience.
- Candidates are free to opt for two Sessions while filling up the First Session application itself duly selecting the first set of dates and the second set simultaneously. However, candidates are also free to opt for two sessions and are at liberty to fill in the applications separately for 1st and 2nd Sessions duly complying with the deadlines.
- Candidates who did not apply for Session 1 are not eligible to apply for Session 2 directly.
- Candidates who appeared twice for the examination and sought admission to any of the First-Degree Programmes in BITS Pilani, the higher of the two scores shall be considered for admission.
- All questions are of objective type (Multiple choice) with a choice of 4 (four) answers out of which one answer is a correct choice, which fetches 3 marks. Candidates must note that every wrong answer attracts a penalty of minus 1 mark (-1).
- Candidates can skip a question and they are not allowed to choose more than one answer to any question.
- Each Session of BITSAT 2025 will be of 3 (three) hours in duration, without any recession. Every session consists of 4 (four) parts. There will be 130 questions in all. The following table depicts the details of 4 Parts of the Test, the subjects, and the number of questions.

- A meritorious candidate is expected to answer all 130 questions in 180 minutes. There will be 12 additional questions (3 questions each from the above subjects, except English Proficiency) to afford an opportunity to highly meritorious candidates to score higher marks.
- Candidates have a choice of going back and changing any of their answers among 130 questions, as there is no time limit set for individual parts of the test.
- All questions and instructions to candidates will be in English only.
